Everything you need,
nothing you don't

Gmail Quick Filters is deliberately minimal — no accounts, no cloud, no friction. Just buttons that jump to the search you use every day.

🎛️

Filter buttons for any Gmail search

Turn is:unread, label:work, or any Gmail search into a one-click button next to the search bar.

🎨

Your name, your colors

Name each filter and pick its text and background color from the popup editor — color-code your inbox however makes sense to you.

📌

First 5 inline, rest under "More"

Add as many filters as you want. The top 5 stay visible in the header; everything else collapses into a tidy "More ▾" dropdown.

↕️

Reorder with a click

Use the ↑ / ↓ buttons in the editor to control exactly which filters show inline — no drag-and-drop needed.

🔒

100% local & private

Filters are stored in your browser's local storage. No backend, no analytics, no network requests — nothing ever leaves your machine.

⚡

Tiny, zero-setup content script

One small vanilla-JS file that only runs on mail.google.com. Load it unpacked or clone and go — no build step required.

From saved search to
button in a minute

2

Add a filter

Click + Add filter, give it a name, a Gmail search query, and a text/background color.

3

Reorder if needed

Use ↑ / ↓ to decide which filters show inline versus under "More".

4

Click to jump

Open Gmail — your buttons sit next to the search bar. Click one to jump straight to that search.

Privacy first

Your filters never leave your browser

Gmail Quick Filters has no server, no account system, and makes zero network requests. Your saved filters live in chrome.storage.local and stay there until you edit or remove them.
